REGULARLY SCHEDULED SALE FOR 9/5

They brought the “Smoke” yesterday. Several big consignments of Char cross calves this week right off the cow. These steers were part of a 70 head consignemt. This particular draft of 13 head of steers weighed 570 @ $2.69

Heck of a good sale yesterday! Cows and bulls were sure cheaper this week.

Predominantly all bawling calves this week. We had several nice strings of calves from 10 head to 78 head consignments. The market was very aggressive. Steady on all classes except the bigger bulls weighing over 600. The lighter cattle being bought in preparation for winter grazing were 5-10 higher in spots than the previous week.

Nice run this week with the extreme heat. Cows and bulls were fully steady to stronger.

The calves and yearlings were very strong. Had some really nice vaccinated and castrated calves right off the cow bring a lot of money as well. 19 char cross steers averaged 548 pounds at $3.03 per pound right off the cow! 🔥
