🟢NEW MEMBER WELCOME🟢

The GCOC welcomes new 🔸Non Profit Member🔸 Fauna Haven Animal Sanctuary

“Our primary objective is to provide a safe and healthy forever home for as many farm animals in need of rescue our resources can comfortably support. Each of these animals have their own unique personality and, as sentient beings, intrinsically feel happiness, excitement, fear, and anxiety. Most of all, just like us, they want to live and be loved.”

To all who knew him and hiked with him, we are sad to say that John-Henry crossed the rainbow bridge this morning, June 10. He had a very happy 12 years back here in the woods, and loved to take folks on hikes. We will severely miss him.

Our Story

Fully equipped, secluded cabins in the Blue Ridge Mountains.

No TV or phones; just peace and quiet. Lay back in the hammock and just listen to the birds in the trees surrounding you, or the sound of the creek below you. Take a hike through the woods, with the assistance of our resident Border Collie, John-Henry. In season, take a dip in the salt water pool to cool off.

Inside the cabin, there are numerous books, cards, games, and puzzles to wile away your time while you listen to music on the blue-tooth stereo unit.
