**Mid-Week Trail Update:** Overnight snowfall, many areas receiving powder snow, and heavy snow squalls have been reported across Vermont. Many clubs have ventured out to groom the trails, with some even conducting their first grooming run of the 2025 season!

Excitingly, clubs have opened more trails, although some are marked as "caution" due to limited snow in certain areas, as well as potential low-hanging branches and snow drifts. Please adjust your speed accordingly and ride within your ability.

A few clubs have been fortunate enough to open their trails under “green” conditions. However, riders should be prepared for changing trail conditions, as they can vary significantly.

When you're out on the trail, please be respectful of fellow riders and landowners by staying on designated trails and not leaving any trash or debris behind.

Remember to lead right and ride right. Have fun, Stay safe, and Think snow!❄️

Get ready for an exciting weekend in Vermont! Join us for the Ride for $25 weekend, where your $25 fee supports VAST clubs in maintaining our trails. After a week of cold temperatures, we're enjoying some fresh snowfall, making it the perfect time to ride.

Many trails are opening, with some areas marked caution (yellow) and others in the Northeast Kingdom and Central Vermont marked green. Caution trails may have low snow levels and icy spots, so please ride carefully and at reduced speeds. Green trails are accessible but can vary in quality, so be prepared for changes.

Before you head out, check out the new VAST app, "VT VAST Snowmobile Trails," and explore club updates on Facebook.

As you prepare for your adventure, remember these key tips:
- Expect early-season conditions on caution trails with potential hazards. Stay alert!
- Respect fellow riders and landowners; maintaining a positive community is essential.
- Stick to designated trails and always Lead Right and Ride Right for safety.
- Don’t forget your 2025 VAST TMA, your current insurance card, and for those born after July 1, 1983, your snowmobile safety card.
