The Farm is Open (!) - first guests have arrived. We look forward to seeing you again this year - our sixth year of hosting! Every year we make changes and additions - come again to find out what we have in store for you. One thing that is a constant you can continue to watch, feed treats, and brush the Scottish Highland cows and yes, Joey a painted horse continues to frolic in the pastures with his two horse mates. Pomfret, a small town in Vermont has decided to close some of its roads during fall foliage. However, at Taplin Hill Farm hundreds of our Airbnb guests over the past 5+ years have reported our farm is one of the best places to view foliage in our little and mighty state. Taplin Hill Farm features four plank fencing for the Scottish Highland cows and horses. A pastural setting of rolling hills, and mountains (sometimes snowcapped) lined with maple trees, white birch, evergreens, and more - all putting on display contrasting bright foliage colors. It doesn't get better then Taplin Hill Farm.

This season our guests continue to feed treats to the Scottish Highland cows, watch the horses play (and feed them apples and carrots), walk the trails and roam the 180-acre property. The nearby White Mountains and the state’s Green Mountain show off a vibrant green pastoral setting with wildflowers found everywhere. Bring your pups and let them run off leash on the numerous trails and swim in the spring fed pond.

We are excited to open up our AirBnB season on Taplin Hill Farm in less than two weeks! If you are looking for a peaceful Vermont escape on 180 secluded acres check us out! We have spectacular views, hiking trails, local restaurants, breweries, antique shops, parks, lakes, kayaking and so much more. Come hang out with the Scottish Highland cattle and horses and you can even bring your furry companions! Dogs are totally welcome because a vacation is just not the same without them! Review by Britany - July 2021: "Taplin Farm is without a doubt one of the most special properties in America. It was such a privilege to spend a week experiencing its magic. The landscape will truly take your breath away. The house will deeply comfort you. The animals that call this place home will bring you joy. We spent our time jumping in the pond, hiking the trails, watching sunrises and sunsets from the Adirondack chairs, cooking summer meals in the perfectly equipped kitchen, falling asleep in the coziest bed to the sounds of nature. And forever grateful that they allowed our pup to join us on this retreat. She was in HEAVEN. I just can’t sing it’s praises enough. I want to keep this place a secret forever but also tell the world about it. I cannot wait to return."
