✈️ Have you ever had an airline lose your luggage? It happened to me once, and my suitcase ended up on its own world tour to 3 different countries before it got back to me! The airline covered the essentials for the day but I never got refunded for the checked bag itself.

Luckily, the Department of Transportation just rolled out a new rule to help with situations like this!✨

Here’s how to get a refund or compensation for lost or delayed luggage. If your checked bag is delayed over 12 hours domestically or 15-30 hours internationally, you’re entitled to a full refund of your baggage fee. 

Step 1️⃣: Visit the airline’s baggage service office by baggage claim and request a “Property Irregularity Report” (PIR) for a reference number.

Step 2️⃣: Use that reference to file an online mishandled baggage report.
And if your bag is officially lost, you can get extra compensation for any essentials you had to buy. Next time your luggage goes off track, remember these steps! ✈️

One of the most fulfilling experiences I’ve ever had abroad was visiting a school in Jamaica 🇯🇲 and reading to a class of 3rd graders. This special event was organized by the incredible Sandals Foundation, and it truly touched my heart. We donated school supplies and spent time with the sweetest kids, who were so appreciative. One little girl even told us it was her best day ever, and that moment will stay with me forever. 💛

Giving back in this way made me realize how powerful these connections can be, and I can’t wait to find more opportunities to do this around the world.

Happy 50th Birthday to my beautiful big sister, Nicole! 🎉 Not only am I blessed to call her my sister, but I’m lucky to have her as one of my best friends. The bond we share is something amazing—growing up, we were inseparable. Since she’s 2 1/2 years older than me, she often acted like my second mom, always in my business, making sure I stayed on the right path. She was my protector, and no one dared mess with “Nikki’s little sister” unless they wanted trouble, lol 😂

📌Best time to travel - Late May, early June, September, and early October. Think: kids still in school, fewer crowds, and better prices!

📌Capture the memories - Schedule a photoshoot with a professional photographer—it’s worth every shot! I use ✨

📌Getting around Mykonos - Taxis can get pricey. Check Uber as a more affordable option, but always compare prices before hopping in your ride.

📌Maximize your trip: Plan your itinerary ahead so you can make the most of your time and soak in everything Greece has to offer.

My mother and I just returned from an incredible trip to Grenada, and I’ve been so excited to share our experiences. However, my heart goes out to everyone affected by the recent hurricane Beryl. The destruction it caused to this beautiful island is heartbreaking. 🙏🏽❤️

The airports are closed and expected to reopen on Tuesday after assessing the impact. My thoughts and prayers are with Grenada, St. Lucia, Barbados, Tobago, St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
