Thanks to everyone for keeping up with our road trip the last few weeks! Today was day 16. 3 days until we are home! There is rotten weather on our drive today, so we decided to skip Devil's Tower, WY, to try to beat some of the worst if the weather. We did just go through a scary bit of it...60 mph wind, 1 inch hail, and dust! But we are just 45 minutes from our hotel where we will ride out the rest of the storms while catching up on laundry. I am hoping there is a hot tub because my back is starting to feel old. We did get to make a stop at the Geographic Center of the US, though! Tomorrow, we spend the entire day in Yellowstone. I'm super excited about that!

Today. Was. AWESOME! WOW! South Dakota did not disappoint. Pictures do not do it justice. Rolling hills, green everywhere. The Badlands are like a mini Grand Canyon and you can walk out on them! The Crazy Horse Menorial was pretty neat. We are staying the night in Custer State Park and drive the Wildlife Loop Trail where we saw bison, prairie dogs, antelope, deer, and more! Day 14 in the books!

Well, we had to be flexible today and missed our stop in Sioux Falls due to a TON of flooding throughout Iowa, Nebraska and South Dakota. We had to turn around a few times and even watched a semi get stuck. Water is a scary thing. The pic here is a field...not a lake or river! It was devastating. But we are safe and in our hotel and ready for the Badlands and Custer State Park tomorrow!

On the road again! We put the kids on a plane home and headed to the Field of Dreams in Dyersville, IA. Is this Heaven? No...its Iowa. We'll, they built it and we came! We ended up for the night in Austin, MN.
