DOVE SHOOTING: We hunt doves north of Buenos Aires in the area along the Parana River in the province of Entre Ríos near the city of Parana. We usually shoot dove moving from the roosts along the Parana River to the agricultural fields to feed. We arrive at the field early in the morning where you will be greeted by your personal bird boy and our staff and taken to an area in the field to shoot f
or approximately three hours. We will break for lunch and travel a short distance to our Argentine farmhouse for you to enjoy a lunch cooked by our chef featuring wonderful Argentine dishes served in the European style. After lunch you will be returned to the field where your bird boy will await you to begin the afternoon shoot which will be approximately another three hours. It is not unusual for a hunter to shoot two to five cases of shells per day. The price of this hunt includes all air transportation and ground transfers within Argentina, private room in our luxury hotel in Parana, The Maran (with its excellent restaurants, swimming pool and spa), all meals, and drinks (except hard liquor). The price does not include airfare to Buenos Aires and airfare to Parana, shells and tips. With groups of eight hunters or more we do offer at an additional cost private air charters. We offer dove hunting twelve months a year with the best months being from September through March. We also offer shorter and longer dove hunts. DUCK SHOOTING: We offer the finest duck lodge in Argentina, San Javier Lodge, located on the Parana River. San Javier is the stopping point for most of the ducks migrating north for the winter from Southern Argentina. You will have the opportunity to shoot a wide variety of ducks on this trip. Our main ducks are the Rosy Billed Pochard, eight different types of Teal, (Argentinean and Brazilian), Pintails, Widgeon and three types of Tree ducks. The four-day trip starts on your arrival at San Javier in time for an afternoon hunt, which you are allowed to shoot after sunset. On returning to the lodge, you will have a staff awaiting you for cocktails and dinner. The next three days are morning and afternoon hunts, leaving the lodge in time to start shooting at first light in the morning to approximately 9:30A.M. where you will return to the lodge for lunch and then back to the blind for the afternoon. The last day is a morning duck hunt and then we will return in the afternoon to Parana. We usually hunt two men to a blind. Each hunter will have their personal guide with them to place decoys, call, and pick-up your ducks. We offer very liberal limits, and it requires very little walking to access our blinds. Come experience the duck hunt you had as a kid with your father and grandfather as you look skyward to see thousands of ducks overhead. The price of the four-day duck hunt includes all lodging and meals at San Javier, all drinks and wine, all air transportation and ground transfers within Argentina. We offer duck hunting between March 1 and November 1. We also offer shorter and longer duck hunts. We also offer this hunt in combination with three days in Parana for dove shooting at an additional cost.
