We have many Island in the San Juans and quite a few of them are State Parks, open to the public. You will either need your own boat or hire a company that travels to the islands. Either way, they are worth the time for a spectacular visit!

The road to the summit of Mt. Constitution will be closed at the Mountain Lake gate Monday – Thursday from May 16 through June 10. The road and the Visitor Center at the Summit will be open on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from 10 AM – 5 PM.

During the road closure, crews will be working to repair a partial washout which has forced the road into a single lane since November. Foot traffic is welcome at the summit during the closure; however, hikers and bikers are asked to stay off the road when closed as heavy equipment will be operating with little room to maneuver. There is trail access to the summit at Mountain Lake, and Cascade Day Use which park users are encouraged to use and explore!

The farmers market is coming soon, every Saturday, starting May 7th.

The 2022 Orcas Island Farmers Market Season begins Saturday, May 7th! Hours are 10:00am to 2:00pm. Come join us - we have an incredible roster this year with not only some long-established favorites, but some brand new offerings, too!

Don’t forget that our farmers take EBT/SNAP - visit the OIFM EBT booth to get started.

12:25 p.m. Monday, April 18 UPDATE: Vehicle reservations for summer season travel will be available at 7 a.m. Tuesday, May 3. https://secureapps.wsdot.wa.gov/ferries/reservations/vehicle/default.aspx?op=Make+reservations

We are postponing next week’s two-month advance release of vehicle reservations for our summer season by at least a week as we finalize IT upgrades to our online reservations system and discuss with San Juan Islands Ferry Advisory Committee members about possible minor schedule adjustments on that route. Sign up for our rider alerts to stay updated on when reservations for travel on June 19 to September 24 on our Anacortes/San Juan Islands and Port Townsend/Coupeville runs will go live.
