I truly love my job; I have the best clients that I get to create with! The story behind this ring has a French influence. My client gave me photos of their favorite Art Nouveau architecture in France. He wanted a wide, heavy, 18k yellow band with Art Nouveau lines from their favorite places. I did not high polish this ring; I wanted a worn and antique looking finish, and I just love the result! ♥️🇫🇷
My client is retiring from RCU, and she wanted to create a bracelet commemorating her time there. We used the diamonds and rubies that were part of pins and rings gifted to her from RCU and one of the gold RCU pins to create the bracelet. A beautiful and fun way to display her hard work.
A little Herkimer diamond love.💙 My client hand picked these stones in New York for his fiancé’s ring. He did a great job because they are gorgeous! I then carved a wax ring around the stones to complete the three stone look.

This project was intense to say the least, but incredibly rewarding to see the end result. 22K gold granulation is my new obsession! I’m kinda speechless when I think of this ring. It’s just too spectacular for words! I loved the process of working with the couple, finding the right stones, and finishing the piece. It all just comes together. 🤍
When my father died, he had a lighter that I would bring with me when I went on motorcycle rides. I always thought he’d get a thrill knowing I was bringing him “along for the ride”. Having something of his close to me was comforting, and I think that's why I understand when people want to create jewelry that reminds them of the people they love. This pair of earrings was made with that in mind and for a young girl who lost her father. Her dad loved numbers, so the infinity sign was important, and then we added diamonds from her mom’s ring and aquamarines to represent his birthday month. A sweet reminder that she is loved. 💙
This mom wanted a more organic looking mother’s ring. So, I found some rough garnet, diamond, and citrine stones and cracked them into smaller pieces. I carved the ring wax with a ton of texture to match the texture of the rough stones. 🧡🤍❤️
I am in love with long baguettes! I had these morganite baguettes custom cut and then I set them in rose gold. The combo is a beautiful and soft hint of color. 💗
This is has got to be the prettiest natural emerald I have worked with. It glows! Set in 18k yellow and looking as regal as can be. 💚💚💚

My client wanted to know what the center stone was in this vintage ring. At first glance it looks like a sapphire, right? Not so fast! Under the microscope things got interesting. As I turned the stone, a red flash appeared and I had my answer. This is a garnet topped doublet (GTD), and it was a popular method of creating simulants in the late 1800’s. They fused a thin layer of garnet on top of colored glass. The optics allow the garnet to take on the color of the glass, in this case blue.💙
I love it when people incorporate hidden meaning in their rings. There was a number that was special to my client and his partner, so I found a stone with a carat weight that matched that number. It’s the little subtle things that can make jewelry extra special. 💗
Beginning restoration of a 1939 class ring.
This was a special project for my client whose husband passed away. I took both of their wedding bands and joined them together at the top. Her engagement ring diamond is in the center, and I took two pieces of gold from her engagement ring band, melted the pieces into two beads and placed them on either side of the diamond. Those two beads represent her kids. It’s a beautiful remembrance of the people she loves. ♥️

My client had a very specific vision for his wedding ring. A platinum ring with knotty tree texture and a yellow gold river of diamonds flowing through the center Montana Sapphire stone. It was very rewarding to see the end result.💙
My client had a 5-stone anniversary band and a blue topaz stone she wanted to combine into a new ring. Voila! The half halo ring. Super fun!!
My clients wanted to use moss agate as the main stone in their engagement rings. Both rings share the same stone, but each ring reflects their own unique style. 💚

Restoration has become a passion of mine. It’s not only technically challenging, preserves history, but it connects memories. My client came in with her mother’s wedding set, and it was in pretty bad shape with sections missing from wear. I recreated the missing and worn sections out of gold and made it strong again. Having just recently losing her mother, being able to wear her mom’s ring meant the world to her. A labor of love.♥️
My client’s original wedding ring had three rings soldered together (top pic), but she preferred to have just one ring. So, we kept the original design of the three rings and created one whole ring instead! All of her original stones were set into the new ring.
My client had some baroque pearls and wanted to make a creative pendant with a few of them. She also wanted a few design elements inspired by Frank Lloyd Wright. All done in 14k white gold.🤍
My client recycled her stones into a new ring, and then we added a little bit of color with the tsavorite garnets. That shade of green is so pretty.💚
A beautiful family stacker ring. Two diamond eternity bands with a special number of stones, and a three stone ring come together to represent the family as a whole! 💙💚💙
This was probably one of the more extensive waxes I’ve carved so far. My client wanted a replica of her mothers ring before the original lost more detail. I ended up carving the whole ring in wax and then carefully carving out the center decorative part so that it could be cast in white gold. I really love how it turned out. 💛

Technology is fantastic these days. I was able to get these sterling silver earrings scanned and cast into 14k yellow gold for my client. It’s a great way to make a duplicate of a piece you have or change the metal. 💜

Flexibility in chain repairs is important, if possible. Bulky solder joints are rigid. That rigidity can lead to breakage, and it doesn’t look very pretty. I like a little wiggle in my chain repairs!

I’m back from CAD class, and now it’s time to start practicing daily. I’ve realized that learning this program is going to take a lot of hours and practice, but I do love working with it. As with learning anything new, I just have to put in the time and be patient with myself and the process.
Do you retip or rebuild a worn prong? That depends on a few factors. For example, this ring needed the prongs to be rebuilt. The main reason is that I couldn't just replace the head (the section that holds the stone) because it was integrated into the ring. So, I cut off the worn section and soldered on new gold wire. The wire is bigger than the prong, so that I have plenty of material to file down and match the original prong size. I repeated this process for the other prongs.
This. Ring. Right. Here!! My client came to me asking me if I could restore her mother's vintage wedding set. Most people would look at this ring and think it was a lost cause. I mean, why bother, just get a new one. This ring meant the world to her, and I'm the type of jeweler that loves vintage jewelry and loves restoring history. This restoration took awhile, but it came together in a way that surprised me a little, ha! She can now wear something that was important to her mom. 💕
The story behind this ring is ♥️♥️♥️. My client's husband had passed away, and one of their favorite things to do was kayak. I dismantled her original wedding ring and went to work creating a "kayak" ring. I set the marquise east to west to mimic a kayak and then created out of wax a mini kayak paddle. It carries great meaning and memories for her when she wears it. I also got the pleasure of meeting her current partner, and boy are they fun people! They are a beautiful example of how we can honor love from the past and be open to loving again. ♥️🛶♥️
