Iām at Sabathani Community Center for the Sabathani Community Center Motherās Day luncheon and hat contest.
When I arrived I was very emotional and on the brink of tears because of all the memories associated with my mother and her role at Sabathani. That quickly changed when I spoke to so many people from the community I grew up in and that knew my mom.
With Motherās Day right around the corner it seems like a great opportunity to honor my mother Clarissa Rogers Walker legacy by being at Sabathani Center for this fun event.
Thank you Joyce Mayes (the Sabathani Senior Program Coordinator) for reaching out to me about guest judging the hat contest. It was a joy and a privilege to be surrounded by so many strong women and to feel their love and support for each other. It was a lovely event. I mostly post fashion, however we had an unforgettable experience in Graz, Austria at the Mercedes Benz G-Class Experience Center. The G-Class is not only a beauty but also has unique capabilities for all kinds of challenges - itās a beast on terrain! It was an adventure driving through floods, up steep heels, over rocky roads, and if I hadnāt seen it with my own eyes I wouldnāt of believed that a vehicle could do the things the G-Class does. The instructors at the Experience Center were amazing, so knowledgeable and patient as they guided me through the off-road and on-road challenges (with my husband cheering me on.) According to Mercedes Benz I am now officially G-proved. lol *

Iāve always believed you can look fashionable on a budget. gave me a task to find two stylish outfits . The guidelines: the outfit has to be under $100, including shoes and worn on vacation. My initial thought was the best way to make this work is to find each piece around $20. I looked around for my favorite shoes first thinking that will most likely be a big chunk out of the amount I have to spend. Next I scouted for the trends. It all came together like this:

After the show Maureen came up to me and asked me for my number. I didnāt have a card so I wrote it on a piece of scratch paper. I never heard from her until one day I must of had a date with destiny. I was modeling for Daytonās and Maureen happened to be there too. She booked me on the spot for a Kare11 live television segment .
