Been busy last few months getting boat and trailer both road worthy and seaworthy. New wheels and tires, new lights, new engine serpentine belt, tuned the stereo, and today, a proper anchor for the bow roller already on the boat!

A blown tire back in July, along with personal commitments have really interrupted our boat plans this summer, but rest assured we are more than ever ready for fall cruises and next season!

Today is a very exciting day! It is official. My USCG MM license is in MY hands! Years in the making, the last year and a half, and significant investment most exceptionally, and it’s official. All of my U.S. Navy experience has been accepted by the USCG toward my credential, and my endorsements (limitation limits) are reflective.

My 2nd career/retirement plan is coming together, and Street Legal is one step closer to taking clients!!!!

There is a VERY good chance we will have openings this summer. If you’re interested in a pleasure cruise, May - September, reach out. We specialize in day and sunset cruises on Lake Erie, primarily out of Presque Isle Bay in Erie, PA, but we can also trailer to other launches and bodies of water.

I am Jeff Smith, U.S. Navy Veteran, and aspiring pleasure cruise USCG MM Master Captain. My boat is an extremely gentle used 2003 Monterey 24.5’ Cruiser with full service galley, lounge, and head in the cabin, with seating and a small prep sink on deck, with a large swim platform aft. It has been very comfortable and enjoyable for my family if 4 all last season.

Just got my physical and my drug screening for my Captains license application that was a roller coaster experience. I don’t know what it is about me getting drug tested but every time I do something weird happens.

We have conquered one more goal in Edinboro Lake. We have docked at Sundet Grill, just deep enough. This should pave the way for sunset cruises on the lake!

Memorial Day Weekend was a tremendous success. We have toured all the spots around Erie, PA and the Presque Isle Peninsula. Boat handles well and was made for these waters!

The Boat: Street Legal is a 2003 Monterey 245CR with Mercruiser 5.0L Bravo Three propulsion. Newly upholstered salon (main deck), and full service cabin. Retrofitted with Lowrance systems and location monitoring services, JL Audio stereo, and modern electrical. The BEST part of Street Legal, aside from our ability to tow it and operate it in almost any body of water, is it's full salon enclosure that assures the weather doesn't disrupt a great day on the water. We can head out early, in cooler or wet weather, and take her top off when the skies clear!

Street Legal is a 25’ express cruiser, with an interior lounge, head (bathroom), and kitchenette. The main deck offers ample seating in the salon, with an area on the bow to stretch out in the sun. The salon can additionally be outfitted with multiple shade and surround canvases to assure comfort for everyone.
