🌎 Between being intentional with our budget and saving credit card points, we are able to take a few trips a year. Many people ask how we do it. This is basically how...
🛋 We don't buy brand new furniture. If we need something, it's FB Marketplace or thrifting.
📱 We don't buy the latest tech and gadgets (never owned an Apple anything, and honestly don't care to.)
💅We don't splurge on beauty like mani, pedi, spas, salons. I use drug store makeup and get 2 haircuts a year. I know this is not conventional, but, neither is 3 trips a year lol.
🚘 We don't buy new cars. Used and reliable is fine. My van is a 2015.
🍺 We don't drink alcohol. It's a rare occasion like an anniversary or a cruise when we will have drinks.
🛍 We try not to buy clothes often. We keep it minimal and really only buy something if it's on sale or needed. The rest are gifts or secondhand.
🎂 We don't go into debt over birthdays and Christmas. (Last year, they got individual trips or experiences instead of big parties and gifts.)
🧠 We don't spontaneously book a trip. I research for MONTHS for discounts, gift card deals, wait for Cyber Monday, etc. And I do this for my clients as well!!
💰 LAST but not least - I specifically save for trips in a separate bank account. I like to be able to pay the card off as soon as I book to get the points.
My fave cards are Disney Rewards Visa, Delta American Express and Carnival FunPoints MC. 💳

Tips for flying with toddlers - Pt. 1 👶🏼👶🏾🛬
We recently flew 13 hours combined with an 18 month old and this is what I brought to make it easier (part two has some good ones too!!)

1. I gate checked my stroller for free. It's a kolcraft cloud, lightweight and affordable. You don't want anything fancy because they get thrown around!

2. Dollar Store toys like books, invisible ink coloring books, squishies, a slinky, pom poms, etc pass the time. Only give one at a time! 🧸

3. A #Moonliteprojector for your phone is amazing with a few favorite stories! 📚

4. Window and wall clings are easy to remove and use again on the next flight! 🦈
•
5. Snack spinners filled with healthy treats makes snacks last longer, and they won't spill as easily. This is from #Aldi
•
6. Get TSA pre-check for all adults on the ticket gets you through security fast, no long waits or removing your shoes! Do this a few months in advance.

7. Inflatable plane beds are on Amazn and Tmu, or from Flyaway Beds. Delta allows these except for take-off and landing. Ask your airline first! It was cheap and allowed her to sleep stretched out.

Velocicoaster at Universal Orlando was named the best Rollercoaster in 2023 by Theme Park Insider and I have to agree! 🦕 It's pretty awesome! The lines can get very long, so these tips will help you ride it (maybe even multiple times) on your next visit to Universal!

🦕Staying at a Universal Resort gives you early entry to hit this ride first thing in the morning before the public. If you're staying a premier resort, you'll also get Express Passes complimentary! You can purchase Express Pass as well to skip the stand-by lines.
🦖 Utilize the single rider line. You can wait in line with your group, but you may not sit in the same row or be on the same vehicle as your party. This skips the normal queue, so you will miss some of the pre-show. It saves a lot of time, though! This is great for your second time riding on the same trip.
🦕 Ride at night. The lines will be shorter, and the ride is more fun! It's more intense and little scarier at night. Seeing the park lit up as your crest the top hat is awesome too!
