Privileged to participate in the Christmas Bird Count at Edisto again yesterday (sponsored nationally by the Cornell Lab of Ornithology and locally by Edisto Island Open Land Trust). Cold but calm conditions throughout the day. We counted 60 different species of birds. Thank you Jeff Dennis for including me on your team. We were rescued by a kind soul (another birder) on a golf cart half-way back to our car from Frampton Inlet (it's a 3.2 mile round trip from Jeremy Inlet to Frampton Inlet).
