Pleasant Valley Plant Farm

Pleasant Valley Plant Farm Serving over 5 counties for more than 20 years, providing quality bedding plants, and local area selections for best flower and vegetable production.

Permanently closed.

With over 37 years of growing experience in the inland northwest. We are a small nursery business out of the quaint town of Edwall in the state of Washington. The Michael family has been farming land in this area for over 150 years. Originally we owned an egg hatchery and eventually moved onto farming wheat and barley. For the last 20 years, our nursery business has steadily grown and allowed us

to transition away from wheat and barley farming. We're glad you found us on the web. On our site you will find a variety of gardening information, how to’s, tips, stories and ideas, along with some charts, schedules, guides and web links useful to plant growers, seed planters and home gardeners. We also spend a lot of in the kitchen, so we also have recipes and food preserving information. You can check out Grandma's blog or Grandpa's blog to see what we've been doing recently around the farm. We love plants almost as much as we love to talk about plants with other plant lovers!

The biggest snack day is right around the corner, and we've got you covered!

We've got lots of ready to eat snacks and our brand new smoked and sliced deli ham that you can pair on a charcuterie board (we sell those, too!) along with some sweet treats from The Cannery.

If cooking is your thing, we recommend meatballs with cranberry pepper jelly, sloppy Joe's, tacos, sausage gravy and biscuits, bacon burgers, sliders...the sky is the limit!

Come see us at the indoor farmers market this Saturday, February 10 from 10am-4pm at The Storehouse, 107 W. Lake Street, right next to Farm Salvation. If you're coming from Spokane, we're about 15 minutes west of Downtown, take exit 272 off I-90.

We brought down our giant Anthurium magnificum today to shower the dust off its leaves. This plant’s leaves can easily get rips, blemishes, and discolorations while it’s growing and hardening off, but when you get a near-perfect leaf, it’s so worth the wait!

We have so many new faces here so we wanted to take a moment to reintroduce Billie's:

A few fun facts:
🎂 Our one year anniversary was in September 2023 - how time flies!

👩‍🌾 We are a farmer-first restaurant, which means our farmers are at the center of everything we do! We worked with over 20 different local farms in 2023 and are looking to expand that list in 2024.

🍽 Our menu is seasonal and constantly rotates so we can always feature the freshest Inland Northwest ingredients.

❤ Billie's was named for a dear father who left us far too early.

📅 We are now open seven days a week from 6am-2pm.

We can't wait to meet you all! Stop by the diner this weekend to introduce yourself.

Being a farm-to-table restaurant during the Spokane winters can be TOUGH. But, we are working with an exciting new farmer partner who can help us get through the next few months.

Mindful Me Farms is a hydroponic farm based in Cheney. They grow lettuce, microgreens and herbs year around in their state-of-the-art facility. Their produce is grown vertically to maximize plant growth. In fact, they can grow 4.5 tons of produce annually in a 320 square-foot-space. How cool is that?! Learn more and check out their current product offerings: https://www.mindfulmefarms.com/.

Stop by Billie's this week to try our classic Chef's Salad made with greens from Mindful Me!
