Cavalier King Charles Spaniels have Saved Us

I started breeding cavalier king charles spaniel puppies after I fell madly in love with my first two cavaliers, Magreggor and Aimee Rose. As a mother of 3 autistic children and a psychotherapist, I discovered that these dogs are the quintessential therapy dog. They made HUGE difference for my therapy clients as well as at home for particularly my 2 youngest children. Sam, the youngest, just engaged more, interacted more, responded to the world around him more... and who wouldn’t with bundles and oodles of puppy cuteness, right!? But not only did Sam benefit, Sarah, my sweet lost little one who is severely impacted by autism and global developmental delay... the one who is timid and uncertain around all animals... SHE includes “puppy, puppy, dog, dog” in the list of family member names whenever she recites the list of family members “Mother, Sarah, Oh Boy (big brother Seth), Baby (little brother Sam), puppy, puppy, dog, dog.” I’ve come to find that these dogs have rescued ME in more ways than one, and I’ve heard the same thing over and over again from puppy buyers throughout the years. We’ve been breeding cavaliers and cavachons and cavapoos now for 11 years and I’ve learned so much about breeding (to the highest standards!) and about finding the right homes for my puppies and about selling, and just how to make room for such an amazing adventure this is. I LOVE making people PUPPY HAPPY. If you had asked me 12 years ago if I’d ever breed dogs I’d have said “what!?” Now I can’t imagine NOT breeding cavaliers and cavachons or cavapoos.
