With an impressive filmography, her most recent notable role was in the globally acclaimed movie "Sound of Freedom." Mira Sorvino has made it her life's mission to combat human trafficking, advocating as an ambassador against this grave issue at the United Nations. Additionally, she has actively participated in various films addressing the subject, aiming to raise crucial awareness. So in case you haven’t heard, we have a new neighbor next-door. It’s a family owned business and they are really nice people. You’ll finally be able to buy Beer at Red Sands! (Not our renters of course). In addition to beer, they sell everything else that your local convenience store sells, but you don’t even have to get out of your vehicle because it’s a drive-thru! Talk about convenience!! if that wasn’t cool enough, they have converted their entire parking lot into a Food Truck Gallery! So, please show them some love… oh I almost forgot!! THEY HAVE BATHROOMS!!! Yes!!! NO MORE MIDNIGHT TINKLES BEHIND THE DUNES!

I took this picture 11 years ago on the night before our Grand Opening on 4th of July. Through Gods grace, your support, and my family’s hard work, love, and support, we’ve remained open for 11 years. The little retail store inside is no longer open for business. But the tour business is open. A lot of things have changed through the years. Outside the business we helped create a rescue team and made a lot of positive changes in the community. We have gone through a lot of ups and downs. We almost closed our business a few times. But this little “hole in the wall” building has been able to feed my family through the years and help the community at the same time. The two oldest children you see in this picture worked with me for years as they finished High School and college, got their degrees and became Registered Nurses. They also became EMT’s and continue to volunteer with our rescue team serving Red Sands and other communities as Volunteers. The little guy at the bottom still works with me. He just finished high school with college credits and will be starting EMT school this fall and then on to UTEP nursing school like his siblings after that. My beautiful wife, who is my rock in life, continues to work with me and she runs the day to day operations at the shop, while I run the rescue team and my other obligations I now have at the County. We are abundantly blessed to be here with you. We wouldn’t be here without your support. We can’t thank you enough El Paso.
The rental shop will be closed On 4th of July, because this year it lands on a Tuesday, which is the only day of the week we actually regularly close. We contemplated opening because we were getting calls for bookings, but most of our rental staff are also Volunteers on the Rescue Squad for the area. We are going to have our hands full on 4th of July with the influx of visitors coming into Red Sands, so we honestly just need to focus on our Volunteer duties. Sometimes in life it’s not about money. It’s about serving others. So, I’m sorry folks, we’re not going to open for business on 4th of July, which some people in the rental business probably think is crazy. But my family and I will be out there joining the rest of our Volunteers, as we have for 11 years, serving the off-road community on 4th of July. God Bless America!! Happy 4th of July! Please stay Safe!! 🇺🇸
