Well dang. He’s done it again, adding another 5.15b to the world. This time in China.

It “starts with a 7c+/8a, followed by a 7b+ boulder, then a good kneebar rest. After that comes the crux: a 8a/+ boulder with amazing moves on vertical holds and pinches 🦞—exactly my style!

Then there’s a decent rest leading into a tricky 7b+/c boulder, where I fell around 5 times due to mistakes on small details. Finally, you have to finish into a 7a+ boulder, where I fell once before grabbing the final jug.

I hope more people will check out this route; it’s worth the attention!”

makes the FA of Tommy’s X, 5.14b.

“This is an alternate finish to the existing line Tommy’s Hard Route which clocks in around hard 5.13d. This “direct” finish replaces the original 5.11- outro with a two move power boulder problem in the V8 range by linking into Predator X with no rest, making the whole route far more sustained.“

Reminder: never get too ahead of ourselves 😉

“bumbayé 8c+ /5.14c ⚔️ what an interesting learning experience this one turned into 😅 what started as a mini side project quickly turned into a total epic. I spent over a week half-assing this route because I thought it would be “easy”, In exchange it took my ego and broke it into the ground. For over a week I fell multiple times on every draw past the red point Crux, including grabbing the finish jug you clip the anchor from.
Thankfully after that, I finally decided to give it the respect it deserved, and was able to execute.”
