“We absolutely enjoyed our stay at the Firehouse Library! The pictures list do no justice to how beautiful this building is. The loft was perfect for our teenage son and his two friends and the our daughter loved her “princess” room, as she called it, because it had gold accents and a gold vanity. There was a book for everyone and having a large living space to hang out in with everyone was wonderful. The Firehouse I’m in the heart of the downtown area and it was a delight to walk around and visit the local shops. My daughter especially loved located in the unit under the firehouse. We look forward to staying here again in the future.” Guests, July 16, 2023

“We came here with 3 kids to go to Hershey Park and we all loved The Firehouse Library the most! Fabulous Place! Wonderful setting for a family retreat. Will highly recommend to anyone coming coming for Hershey Park. It was the highlight of our trip!”

The Firehouse Library is the perfect place to retreat after fun filled days in the area and we love to see it used as a home base for adventure-filled family vacations!

Fun Fact: Did you know that one of the owners of The Firehouse Library is an actual firefighter?

That is just part of the reason why we have tried to preserve & highlight much of the buildings’ firehouse history. And we’ve hidden meaningful touches all around the apartment for guests who stay with us to discover. Secret coins with the firefighters prayer on them are hidden throughout the space, historic photos & paintings are hung, we have firefighter monopoly & puzzles on the shelves and lastly, we stock , which supports first responders in need through The Fire Department Coffee Foundation by giving back to those who have been injured on the job, mentally or physically, or who are facing other serious health challenges. (Also, did we mention that the coffee is amazing?)

We love to hear when firefighters themselves come to stay in the apartment too. It makes the stay even more special.

Thank you First Responders, past & present. Your sacrifices are appreciated, even in the historic spaces that once witnessed your dedicated service to the community.
