I'm selling this guitar for the original owner who I built it for and has had some medical issues come up that are requiring him to sell. This is #51 and is one of my straight up D18 style guitars with old growth Honduras Mahogany, A Natural finish Magnum Red Spruce top w/ ageing toner and Waverly tuners. The guitar is $7850. I adjusted the truss rod and lowered the action a bit so it's ready to go. I have it at my shop now if someone wants to check it out and I will have it with me at the BlueChip Pick booth this weekend (Friday and Saturday) at IBMA if it's still available. New guitar day for my buddy Josh Alexander this past weekend. This is one he and I have been talking about for a while. Its based upon a 1929 00-28 12 fret. Brazilian back and sides, Old growth Magnum Spruce top, Curly Maple binding and Banjo Tuners (just like the originals).

My new friend Romain Legrand from France came by the shop today for a visit. Romain came arrived in the US several days ago and has been on a music tour around the southeast US. He went to Merlefest this past weekend and is in the process of sightseeing his way to Nashville with music stops along the way. Including Floyd, Va. and Bristol Va. where he will see the Carter fold. im glad that today he decided to include Hooper guitars on his itinerary.

New Guitar Day for my buddy Nate. He came today to pick up his D28 style guitar with Mahogany "the Tree" back and sides, Figured Virginia Sugar maple binding and Appalachian Red Spruce top...We had a great time putting all the pieces together for this build...Thanks Nate!!

Guitar pickup day today for my buddy Fred and his Wife Lori! Fred's guitar is a Brazilian Rosewood D28 with some of the finest material I had in the shop. "Out of this world" Brazilian rosewood an Old Growth North Carolina "Magnum" Spruce top and Virginia curly maple binding.... a fun project for all of us!

Spraying clear today on this 41 style Dread with "The Tree' mahogany back and sides and Old Growth Red spruce top. The natural golden color of wood from "The tree" always amazes me. No stain has been applied on the back and sides.
