Our feet are back for a brief moment where the cell service is not so great, the roads are uneven, comfy clothes are a must, daily hikes are how we choose to pass the time and evenings are spent by the water at one of our favorite local places visiting with friends. Buck Valley Lodge- Ellijay, GA
Bears @buckvalleylodge🐻
Twice this week we have had visitors (🐻🐻) make an appearance. Our furry, not invited visitors have literally taken our custom, super heavy ‘bear bin’ and turned it upside down like it was a blade of grass!
Background- Last last fall we gathered at the cabin and built a custom ‘bear bin’ because our trash cans kept getting rummaged through. We were advised to build a heavy duty bear bin that would enclose our trash cans….. Seems like we have a bit more work to do…🤔.
Be careful if you are visiting the north Georgia mountains as we are were told the bear sighting this season are of very large bears.
Looks like we will be heading to @buck_valley_lodge_ellijay_ga to reinforce our ‘bear bin’ in coming weeks. ✅
Read one of the many reasons below we love escaping to the mountains and our little cabin in the woods. ⬇️
Children are biologically designed to educate themselves. They do it joyfully through play, exploration, and questioning. All that is needed is to provide the opportunity for them to unpack their God given potential. This was a primary driving force for our family to take the leap and invest in the purchase of Buck Valley Lodge. We want to visit nature often and share that same opportunity with others. A time to detach from noise, to reconnect, explore, and let our children be children.
This was Noah‘s first time manning a kayak by himself. He hopped in, and he simply figured it out. Meanwhile, Ava is along the river bank, having a blast with the simplicity of a tree rope and some rocks. Nature wins every single time. ✨😉
