Coffee Break has been part of the DNA of Elmhurst CRC for almost 50 years!

As coffee consumption was rising worldwide and instant coffee was “a thing” in the 1970s, Coffee Break capitalized on these trends by establishing itself as a warm and friendly hub for coffee and weekly Bible Study, both for the church and community.

Coffee Break continues to provide a warm break and a dedicated place for weekly Bible study for our community and congregation.

We’ve got an evening Bible Study for you this summer!

We have a new Thursday Evening Women’s Bible Study starting– on June 16 at 7 pm. It’s based on a study and videos from the Bible Project and will be led by Kelly Day (Coffee Break Coordinator) and Rebekah Wilson (Discipleship Coordinator).

Hello Coffee Breakers! They say “lightning never strikes twice” — but no one ever said anything about two snow days off in February!

Due to the inclement weather forecast for the Chicagoland area the Elmhurst CRC church offices will be closed and all programs — including Coffee Break — will be cancelled for Thursday, February 17, 2022.

Life got you out of sorts? Feeling a little stressed or have a little anxiety in your life? You don’t have to go it alone. Join us for free workshop helping to deal with the highs and lows in life.

Ron Ovitt, a pastoral counselor and recovery coach, will lead and walk us through emotional re-learning. We don't have to be at the mercy of our emotions.

Emotional Resilience Workshops will meet
Wednesdays beginning Feb 9-Mar 30 at either 9:15 AM or 7 PM.

Childcare will be available at the morning sessions for children ages 0-36 months.

We’ll be distributing fresh food this Sunday! If you or someone you know could use some food assistance, we’ll be in the parking lot of Elmhurst Christian Reformed Church from 10-11:30 AM with: cold milk, frozen meat, and delicious fruits and vegetables. While supplies last—we have enough for 400 families. This is a drive-thru event!
