Electrical problems!! Issue is when switches go off the wires spark and melt in between battery and switch. But when switch is on and lights illuminated no problems. This seems weird that current to lights all good but, when stopped at switch, pop! My dimmer which is pictured works awesome and this doesn’t happen when turned off. Am I wiring them wrong on the cheap switches? I know I’m using 18awg and it’s small but, Wattage is sooo minimal on the led lights. Trunk lights through switch with silver plate same scenario and I put 16awg from switch to battery and still melts the fu**er. Granted these aren’t going through the fuse panel, I’m just touching terminals on battery but, if the wire is melting then a 5amp fuse would surely pop right and if no switch is turned off and circuit open the wires are just fine and lights work great just touching terminals. Excuse the stupidity if it’s something easy, just thought I’d ask.

So, what do these MEGA fuses go to? I have a DC socket to wire and I want it only to draw when car is on..... it has its own 20amp inline fuse. If anyone can tell me if one of these connections shut off with ignition off or if they are always on. And should I just use the empty spot with a bolt or piggyback on the 70amp MEGA fuses? Thanks

Swag and slider panel in! 1/4” finished birch panels 4x8 $35 at HD, (51 1/2” x 29 1/4”) Milwaukee Ultra Finish Blade on Cicular Saw, Jigsaw with medium metal blade no orbital and Dremel to sand edges (don’t forget the blue tape, both sides when cutting, and good side down, trust me) black oxide truss head 3/4” sheet metal screws, pre drill through wood and metal with small bit, impact screw in carefully don’t overturn. Lower panel, M5 rivnuts in existing holes, #10 finishing washers and wide flat head screws, had original panel to make template. Logo #9 1” Antique Bronze Screws and PL3 Max Adhesive on back.
