Big Brew Updates:
The 20th anniversary Old Ale continues to slowly chug to completion. Gravity is down to 1.027 from 1.111, for an 11.4% ABV.
The Russian Imperial Stout is still resting comfortably in a barrel. Figure another month to go before its kegged.
These should wow 'em at the Selinsgrove Fest!

A successful Mailbock Homebrew is in the books. The Alers brewed 60 gallons, with a starting gravity of about 1.069. It's fermenting nicely at 55F. If you're interested in homebrewing, we'd love for you to come to one of our meetings or events and experience the greatest hobby in the world.

Do you have aspirations of brewing your own beer, but just don't know where or how to get started, check out the PA Alers this weekend they are brewing a maibock in Elysburg. A maibock is a lager that has a slightly higher hop profile than most other bock types, it has a golden hue and an ABV around 5-7%. This is a perfect springtime transition beer to get you from those darker winter bocks and stouts to the light refreshing summer ales.
We always welcome anyone who has an interest in brewing, to join us for the day to learn more about the club and brewing. If you are interested in joining us for this experience please contact us for more information.
