“I am an avid upland bird hunter living in Ohio. For the past many years I would fly to Salt Lake City and drive to Castle Valley Outdoors in Emery, Utah. There I would spend three relaxing yet exhilarating days at Castle Valley Outdoors beautifu, comfortable and rustic lodge, owned by Woody Jonson and designed and built by architect and manager James Fauver. Jim and his excellent team provide a memorable upland hunting experience, including well appointed accommodations and gourmet food all in a pleasant atmosphere of friendly camaraderie. The hunting courses are breathtakingly beautiful, the terrain easy to walk, the birds plentiful, the guides polite and knowledgeable and the German Short Haired pointers tireless in finding, pointing and retrieving.
I have been to many commercial hunting venues. However I keep coming back to Castle Valley Outdoors because it is the best.”

“I have been going on an annual feather hunt for 15 years now, and this is probably my favorite hunt over that time. The terrain is beautiful and diverse, there were lots of wild birds and massive covey's, and the dogs were some of the best I've ever experienced. Our guide was great and kept us on birds throughout our 4 sessions over two days. The lodge is beautiful, and the accommodations are top-tier (comfy beds). There are also lots of other shooting activities back at the lodge.”
