We raised $6,852!! 💛✨

Thank you so much for your generous donations to the 33 children at Aldea Orphanage. The money you gave is going towards life saving food, medication, and transport costs for the children and facilitators at the orphanage to go from the tiny mountain village of Huaraz to Lima for covid-19 treatment.

My foundation received word on Christmas, from my sweet friend Gladys (director of the orphanage) that the movies have been received and medical care is being implemented.

⠀

We even raised enough to give the children a special holiday meal!

⠀

Thank you, thank you, thank you for opening your hearts. You made a HUGE difference.

While we enjoy our families today, let’s do something to make a difference for others. 💛

I first met the 33 children at Aldea Orphanage in Peru in 2014. While living in Huaraz, I was fortunate to me taken into the community and introduced to children who have been my teachers ever since.

⠀

Children are children, and when you see them in person, it’s impossible not to see your own children or nieces and nephews... these little souls just happened to be born into very tough circumstances.

⠀

Before covid stopped travel, I would see them a couple of months each year, as guests from around the world delivered life changing supplies through my retreat company,

⠀

Covid-19 has completely devastated this small village, leaving many of the children severely sick and malnourished. Two of the caretakers have passed away and many of the children need food and medicine NOW to survive.

⠀
