I don’t understand why we have water quality issues! And most are repeat offenders. This is not acceptable.someone needs to be head accountable now.

How is this remotely permissible, we should be enraged by this demanding answers & accountability! Every municipality needs to do better & take responsibility… I’m all for growth, but it needs to be responsible and this is a glaring example of irresponsibility & disregard for our waterways, ecosystems, and estuaries! This is just tampa bay too, this happened ALLLLLL OVER THE STATE!

Putting ‘em to the test 😈

Guides and anglers know what researchers have proven: fishing grounds for tarpon in the Florida Keys have shrunk considerably over time. To truly see the big picture of why that is –and what we can do about it– BTT researcher Dr. Steven Lombardo pulled together a wide range of data from many different sources for a new BTT study of the Keys tarpon fishery.

The data included numbers of active septic systems in the Keys, water quality test results stretching back decades, vehicle traffic crossing into the Keys, boat launch data, satellite photos, and historic air and water temperature data.
When viewed separately, the information might seem arbitrary. But taken together, it can tell a story that can inform conservation strategy for the Silver King.
