Mark your calendars for Oct. 4-5 as Tombstone Tales returns to the Enid Cemetery! Re-enactment characters portray historic personalities who once lived in the Enid area and, as you ride through the cemetery, they approach your wagon to tell their unique, true stories. Tickets are $15 and will sell quickly. Contact the Enid Welcome Center at 580.233.3643 ext. 1 for reservations.

Our office is excited to work with Advance Soccer Complex and The City of Enid Oklahoma Government to make this tournament a success!

We are excited to announce that the NJCAA has awarded the bid to Advanced Soccer Complex to host the 2025 NJCAA Division I Women's Soccer Championships.

Enid Sports Association will host the seven-day national tournament in 2025 at the Advance Soccer Complex November 16-22. We look forward to providing a first-rate experience for the athletes and coaches competing for a national championship.

Ted Vigil is a singer, songwriter and a tribute artist. Born in Seattle and raised in the Olympia area.

Ted's been performing since the age of ten throughout school in concert, symphonic and jazz bands

developing his talents as a drummer and singer. In 2006 he went on to Laughlin, NV to compete in

the Talent Quest involving 28 states, New Zealand, Australia and Canada and he won first place!

Ted performed twice for John Denver's personal charity. the "Winstar Foundation" in Aspen Colorado

and from 2010-2014 performed with the late Steve Wiesberg, John Denver's lead guitar player.

Steve is quoted as saying, "Apparently the audience thinks all of John's tribute artists look and sound

like John. I don't see that. I see it with Ted. A very strong physical resemblance which is uncanny!"

Mom and son from Texas drove 2.5 hours out of their way to visit because her name is Enid! They explored our city, stayed the night last night and were great fun to chat with. They took home a few souvenirs, and she also said her mother's name was Enid!

It was a great day Monday when KOCO 5 News kicked off its On the Road week in Enid. They began their day at the Welcome Center, then visited Leonardo's Children's Museum, Park Avenue Thrift Enid, Rotary Club of Enid, and several murals before broadcasting live from E Maple just outside Adventure Quest at Leonardo's. Thanks to all who braved the 105-degree heat to join us. KOCO loved its day in Enid!

The Visit Enid Welcome Center will be closed Monday, July 15th from noon-5p to welcome the KOCO-TV crew to Enid.

KOCO-TV will begin its 2024 On the Road series in Enid at Leonardo’s Children’s Museum. The station will broadcast its 4 pm, 5 pm and 6 pm newscasts from Adventure Quest. There will be free admission, food trucks parked on E. Maple, and you may be lucky enough to be seen on TV!

It is encouraged that those in attendance wear something that says Enid or promotes a locally-owned business or event, showing the state our Enid spirit.

KOCO began in Enid as KGEO on July 15, 1954 in their studio at E 2nd St. and Randolph, where Settlers Brewing Co. is located today. The KOCO visit marks the 70th anniversary of its initial broadcast.

PUBLIC ART SHOWCASE:
In the alley on the south side of Harmon's Electric, 612 N Independence, is the fabulous 80's Pop Culture mural by Tox Murillo. Featuring Michael Jackson, Pac-Man, Tom Selleck, Max Headroom, and many other 1980's icons, this mural is nearly 1,400 square feet of 80's imagery.
