Springtime in the mountains means pressure washing, replanting, laying fresh pine straw, and other updates.....we added a fence along the steep side of the driveway and an EV charger. The next update will be the retaining wall along the hill and more planting.

Saturdays are for smoking….Traeger Grills are my favorite smokers. I’m a huge fan of pulled pork and love to get my rubs and sauces at the local stores - there are so many - and really play around with the flavors.

I’m working on my college 🏈 menu. Teams can disappoint you, but your menu shouldn’t!

Next week I’m working on some chicken wing recipes that the Blue Ridge Olive Oil Company gave me.

I’m I the only person who gets lost in a grocery store for hours on vacation? Maybe it’s because I’m from 🇨🇦 and we were always fascinated by 🇺🇸 grocery stores, with their huge variety of things, I mean who doesn’t want to choose between 30 different sugary cereals?? Or 15 brands of white bread??

I easily can spend hours and a small fortune in any grocery store on vacation. Vacation destinations have the coolest grocery stores by far, and I want to check everything out!

This is probably the 🔝annoying thing that I put my family through on vacation. I’ll go into the store and come out with two baskets of stuff and I’ll hear grumbling about how we’re only here for 3 days and who’s going to unpack all the stuff, or worse… ride the last 30 miles with it on their laps because there’s no more room. Yep, I’m that person 😊🥂❤️

I mean, besides all the delicious 🥧 and 🍩 which are a super obvious reason to stop by….they also have 🚜 tours so you can check out what’s growing and start planning your next trip to Blue Ridge!

Truth or Dare….Have you ever faked a smile for a picture? ✅ This is our family’s hiking adventure in Blue Ridge back in 2021…we all look happy don’t we? Fun fact:
- someone was carsick and had just puked
- someone thought hiking was stupid and complained A LOT
- someone said they would have brought more perfume if they knew how long this would be
- someone loved it so much they touched EVERYTHING and got poison oak 🤦‍♀️

But this is one of our favorite pictures and memories from that trip.
