The Unicoi County Achin’ for the Bacon 5K River Run is just around the corner.
Whether you are an avid runner or a 5-K walking competitor, the Achin’ for the Bacon 5K is the race for you. Participants from all fitness levels are encouraged, as the race route features a flat course with a section of the race running alongside the Nolichucky River.

Join us on Saturday, June 24 for a sizzling good time. All participants will receive a 2023 Achin’ for the Bacon race t-shirt, a racer’s goodie bag and a bacon and pancake breakfast following the race. Plus, the top finishers will be awarded race trophies.

The Unicoi County Heritage Museum is opening its doors for its 41st annual season on Saturday, June 10th and you are invited to join in the ribbon cutting festivities.

Step back in time and immerse yourself in the rich history and culture of Unicoi County. Explore fascinating exhibits and displays that bring our heritage to life and uncover the stories that shaped our past and inspire our future.
