Wishing everyone a Happy and Healthy 2022! I'm hoping to be able to plan some adventures for summer and fall, contingent, of course, on what's happening with Covid. If you are already on my email list, I'll be contacting you with details of any upcoming adventures. If you are a local senior and would like to be added, please send me a message at [email protected].
Be well, and hope to see everyone later this year!
Lou Ann

Hoping that everyone is staying safe and well. I can't wait until the theaters reopen and we can safely fill a bus again. Until then, take good care, and please do your best to find some joy in every day

Hi Friends! I just realized that "Matilda the Musical" will be at the Flynn in April. It wouldn't be good business to compete with our local theater, so I'm in the process of booking a different show at Winnipesaukee Playhouse. Again, the trip I was planning for July 23 has been cancelled. I'll be posting the new date, show, and details on February 15. Thank you for your patience and understanding. As Always, Lou Ann

SAVE THE DATES! Thursday, July 23: day trip to Winnipesaukee Playhouse in Meredith NH to see "Matilda the Musical". Saturday, August 29: day trip to Depot Theater in Westport, NY to see "Lady Day at Emerson's Bar and Grill" the story of Billie Holiday. Details will be up soon!

Greetings! We're off on another adventure! We'll be car-pooling on Sunday, March 8, 2020 to Memorial Hall in Essex to enjoy Essex Community Players' rendition of "Drinking Habits" for the 2PM matinee. Those who would like can meet at Jules on the Green at 11:30 AM for brunch beforehand, but it's not required. Tickets are $14 and lunch is on your own. Please email me for reservations, preferably by Nov. 30, at [email protected]. Here's the synopsis for what looks to be a really fun play! "Two nuns at the Sisters of Perpetual Sewing have been secretly making wine to keep the convent's doors open, but when reporters Paul and Sally go undercover as a nun and priest, their presence spurs paranoia throughout the convent that spies have been sent from Rome to shut them down. Wine and secrets are inevitably spilled as everyone tries to preserve the convent in this traditional, laugh-out-loud farce." Hope you can join us!

Here are some scenes from our Fall Foliage Adventure. Spectacular scenery and colors, delicious food, great friends, super bus driver, so much fun!

10/10/2019

Greetings folks! Only 2 days until our Fall Foliage Adventure! We filled all but 2 seats and are ready to roll! Yay! Those who are meeting the bus at Essex Lowe's, we'll be at the far (lumber) end of the building to the left. Plan to meet there by 7:45 AM. For our Williston Woods friends, you may want to park on the side of the building to make it easier for the bus to maneuver the parking lot. We should be at the Activity Center at around 8:15 AM, so please be there and ready to board! Remember, we board in the order that registrations were received. Be ready for a delightful, fun-filled day! Can't wait to see you all!

09/30/2019

Hey friends, save the date for the annual Williston Woods Bazaar and Craft Sale, Saturday, October 5 from 9 AM- 3 PM. Huge white elephant sale with amazing bargains and many vendors. I'll be there selling RADA Cutlery as a fundraiser to offset the cost of YAHA senior trips! Take a break from shopping and have some lunch: Soups, sandwiches, and hot dogs will be available for sale. You won't want to miss this! 126 Williston Woods Road (the Activity Center), off of North Williston Road in Williston.

09/25/2019

Wow! The response for our Fall Foliage Adventure has been great! Only 20 seats left, so sign up now if you're interested! Payment and lunch choice due no later than October 4. Thanks everyone :)

Some beautiful sights on the way home after seeing a great performance of "Forever Plaid" at Depot Theater, getting soaked running into the Old Dock Restaurant, and enjoying dinner with good friends :)

Hi Friends! So many folks asked if I'd still plan some senior trips after I left the helm of the Senior Center, so I started a little LLC, "Young At Heart Adventures". I'm currently running it as a service (not for profit) for folks who are "50+ ish", and any fund-raising profits will be used to offset the cost to make trips more affordable. Check out our "maiden voyage" Fall Foliage Adventure and sign up today!
As Always,
Lou Ann
