June is Great Outdoors Month!

The Great Outdoors is more than a t-shirt slogan. It began as a week of celebrating the parks and green spaces in 1998 and has grown to an entire month of supporting our natural surroundings.

Here in Estes Park, we are best known to visitors as the gateway to Rocky Mountain National Park. For most business owners, that means, literally, millions of customers this time of year and the Great Outdoors Month celebration brings not only health benefits, but social and economic benefits as well.
According to the National Park Service, the Outdoor Recreation Jobs and Economic Impact Act of 2016 was enacted to analyze the outdoor recreation economy of the United States. The report released in September 2018 showed that outdoor recreation contributed more than $412 billion to the US economy in 2016. That’s nearly 2.2% of total US GDP. The report also found that the outdoor recreation industry had faster growth than the overall economy in the same year and provided over 4.5 million jobs across the country. Since that report, all indicators point to continued growth as people seek to spend time in nature and away from the hustle and bustle of the big cities.

For our town and business owners, statistics like these give us hope, renewed purpose, and motivation to step up our customer service game, stock our shelves with more goods, and prepare for to show consumers how enriching and memorable this town can truly be.

While many of our business owners will be working hard to bring in their annual revenue in only a few short months, don’t forget to take a little time to step outside, enjoy the sunshine and the great outdoors. After all, that’s what made us settle our businesses in Estes Park, anyway.

We have stocked the kitchen with many essentials for your convenience. The Knotty Hickory Cabinets are loaded with every convenience imaginable... “An entertainer's dream home”… DINING LOCATIONS... The high post table off the kitchen seats 8, formal dining area seats 10 and the center island bar will seat 2+ for a total of 20 comfortably. In addition, there is dining on the deck… seating for 10+; Enjoy two large gas grills on the deck.. The cozy sunroom is a great new addition... THE GREAT ROOM features a gas fireplace; 60' flat screen TV & DVD player; The indoor/outdoor stereo system with DVD & CD library; Main floor Laundry, great view from a private office/bedroom overlooking the golf course. The second King suite enjoys a Nordic theme, solid oak furniture including an oak King sleigh bed, overstuffed chair, desk, large walk-in closet, large bathroom w/oak vanity, tub shower and Oak Fireplace. Bird watching up close and personal…. colorful birdhouses and an abundance of busy feathered friends tending their young out each bedroom.
