Mugs and more mugs! Wish I could master the art of sticking to a timeline though. The clay process can throw so many curveballs. All it did here was rain for days and these just wanna hold on to the water…

Can’t wait to see my dragonfruit clay mug (the white one there). It’s a gorgeous, new-to-me white clay with black speckles!

You can never be too sure about how the kiln will treat you, but I was happy with about half my firing this go round. Here are a few of my favorites! :)

I'm so excited to partner with my amazing sister, Sheena, of November Botanica, to create these amazing candles filled with all sorts of yumminess, love, and good intentions! See her at Whiteaker Community Market tomorrow and see which one calls to you. She uses only the best of the most beautiful ingredients and these candles are really special!

Teardrop Birdhouse Workshop!
Join us to make these sweet teardrop-shaped hanging birdhouses at Friendly House on Saturday, June 11th from 10am-12pm (creation) and Saturday, June 25th from 10am-12pm (glazing).
The picture here is of a birdhouse in the wet stage, but stained or glazed and fitted with a perch and hanging rope it'll be a beautiful addition to any outdoor space! (And it'll make the birds happy, too!)

This project is good for anyone who has the patience and dexterity for rolling, pinching, and cutting clay. Very young kiddos that are interested will have to work together with an adult.

The cost is $54 for a parent and child together, $22 for each additional sibling, and $38 for an individual. This cost includes all materials, use of tools and space, firing, 4 hours of instruction, and an additional time during pickup for fitting perch sticks and adding hanging rope. I must have the minimum number of people registered by one week prior to the day of the class in order to hold the workshop. Please plan on paying within 72 hours of your commitment to attend unless you have made alternate arrangements.

Please email to [email protected] to register!
Thanks!

*SPOTS STILL LEFT! Join us!* :)

Puzzle Box Workshop at Friendly House in NW Portland!
Friday, April 15th from 10am-12pm to create
Friday, April 29th from 10am-12pm to glaze

Join us to make puzzle boxes! Roll, cut, and join clay to make these really neat boxes with unique lids.
We had so much fun making these, but they definitely require patience and a bit of finesse. You know your kiddo best... but as a general guideline, I'd say somewhere around 8 or older for this project. Younger ones that will engage in a joint effort with you are of course welcome!

The cost of this workshop is $48 per parent/child pair and $20 for each additional familiy member. This covers materials, space, glazes, firing, tools, and 4 hours of instruction. I must have the minimum number of people registered by one week prior to the day of the class in order to hold the workshop. Please plan on paying within 72 hours of committing to attending unless you have made alternate arrangements.

If you are interested and would like more information or would like to register, please email [email protected]!

Photos are of a freshly made puzzle box example!
