Shopping & Santa in Downtown Eureka Springs today!

Get your holiday shopping wrapped up early and enjoy festive music playing overhead on the balconies from 1pm-3pm.

Santa will be socially distanced on a balcony so you can safely relay your Christmas Wishlist from 1:30pm to 3pm.

The "Stationary Parade" starts today at 6! Holiday floats and displays will be available for drive-by viewing at various locations on the upper loop, through downtown, and throughout the city. There will also be areas set up to safely drop off donations for your favorite charities all along the parade route! What a fun, safe way to still have parades!

Here is a map of float locations or pick up a paper copy at the Chamber of Commerce.

During this time of adjustments in social events, work schedules, and travel, we encourage you to remember our many small businesses in downtown and throughout our community and to continue supporting them even if you cannot visit them physically.

Currently, many Downtown Eureka Springs lodging, pubs, restaurants, shops and attractions are taking extra steps to ensure their spaces are clean and safe for customers. Follow guidance from public health officials regarding social distancing and proper health etiquette if and when visiting businesses and public spaces.

If you are not able to visit stores and restaurants physically, there are still things you can do to support our small and local businesses:

1: Shop online or via phone. Many of your favorite shops have have online shopping available; our local and independent shops will help you get what you need via phone, Facetime, or other methods, if necessary.

2: If you do not need anything specific at the moment but still want to support local, buy gift cards to spend later in our various storefront businesses.

3: For restaurants, order takeout or delivery and tip the same amount as you would dining in.

4: You can buy gift cards for many local restaurants, too.

5: Plan your future vacation and book that today. Lodging is ready for you.

6: Share this post and information widely so others know how to help. You love Eureka Springs and your help is needed to continue this vibrant destination.

First and foremost, prioritize and take all health and safety precautions for yourself and others in our community. Our community health as a whole depends on working together, and our small businesses are the lifeblood of the Downtown Eureka Springs economy. We want to make sure they continue to stay successful while maintaining appropriate public health safety measures.

The weather has been absolutely beautiful the past few days, and it makes us dream of days like this where the sun is shining and Basin Spring Park is full of people. We love taking a stroll downtown and seeing a crowd at the park -- it helps us remember what a wonderful destination we have on our hands. 😍
Luckily, we don't have to wait too long to see the park crowd up again. Our annual St. Patty's Day Parade rolls through downtown on Saturday, March 14. The parade starts at 2 p.m., but we suggest getting to the park much earlier than that if you want to take in the sights we love so much. ❤
