Check the Flagstaff Area ATV Club for local trail information! They are gearing up for the season. Trails open Friday, May 24! Quill Hill will have a delayed opening due to road work but will open at 4pm on Friday, May 24. Always check with your local clubs before heading out on the trails!

😎 Visiting Maine for the solar eclipse on April 8?
Being totally prepared for the Maine outdoors is the best way to make sure your experience in the path of totality isn't eclipsed by an emergency situation. Here are a few things you should know before you pack your solar eclipse glasses and head for northern Maine.
🗺 Cell coverage is not reliable in rural locations. Do not rely on GPS.
🚗 It's mud season! Many dirt roads are not passable.
🏕 Plan ahead and expect seasonal campground, road, and trail closures.
🥶 Ice conditions will not be safe on the vast majority of waterways by April, and open water temperatures will still be dangerously cold.
🏔 Spring hiking conditions in Maine can be treacherous. Expect mud, snow, ice, and fast-changing weather.
🐻 Black bears will be awake. Aggressive encounters are rare, but be aware.
🌲 Most land in Maine is privately owned. Respect landowners to support continued access.

We received a solid 10" in the area yesterday evening into the night. Powder conditions out there! The snowmobile trails are open and the riding will be fantastic. Here's where we stand after the snowstorm... Snow started around 7pm and was holding strong while temps remained below freezing. Sometime around 3a-4a temps climbed and snow turned to rain. Winds have remained moderate topping at gusts of 16mph as of the time of this post. But, the good news is that we have a very heavy 6"-12" that can certainly support more snow. Word is that we may see more snow by the weekend! Crews have been clearing roads and our Rt 16 from Stratton to Rangeley is now open!
