!!MODERATE RESORT MONDAY!! $$

This is the first resort I ever stayed in and it is such a lovely resort.

"Revel in the romance and pageantry of New Orleans’s historic French Quarter at this Moderate Resort hotel. Discover cobblestone streets, gas lamps, wrought-iron balconies and fragrant magnolia blossoms, along with colorful Mardi Gras characters and the sounds of jazz. Then stroll along the lushly landscaped Sassagoula River to Disney's Port Orleans Resort – Riverside, where the bayou beckons, as do Cajun and Creole specialties.

This resort has a Mardi Gras themed pool area featuring King Neptune in the Doubloon Lagoon featuring a 51' sea serpent slide, a splash area and a whirlpool spa.
Plus as a bonus, you have access to Ol’ Man Island pool complex, which is just a short walk to Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – Riverside. Located down the Sassagoula River, includes a swimming’ hole with rushing waterfalls and a rustic 95-foot waterslide fashioned after an old mill. A whirlpool spa, kiddie pool and even a fishing’ hole are also located on the premises.

You also have access to Surrey bike rentals, campfire activities, Movies Under the Stars and a playground at both locations.

Transportation options are Disney busses or you can take a ride down the Sassagoula river on a boat to Disney Springs!

Dining options included are Sassagoula Floatworks and Food Factory for some delicious quick service dining, S**t Cat's Club Cafe for a delectable Mickey shaped beignet, S**t Cat's Lounge and try some libations at Mardi Grogs with views of the the Sassagoula River.

Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort transports Guests to a relaxing paradise that captures the essence of 5 distinct islands: Barbados, Jamaica, Martinique, Trinidad and Aruba. This resort features a Spanish Citadel style pool with multiple slides and a shipwreck area for the smaller children. You also have access to the Disney Skyliner as well as Disney bus transportation to get you where you need to go.

Do you have a favorite snack at Animal Kingdom? My go to every time is the Pongu Lumpia and the Night Blossom from Pongu Pongu. The Pongu Lumpia is a spring roll stuffed with pineapple and cream cheese. The Night Blossom features layers of apple and desert pear limeade slush topped with boba balls. These are both a must try! Are you a Star Wars nerd like myself? If you have never experienced Galaxy's Edge, I highly recommend booking a trip to either Disneyland or Disney World. I have been to both and they are amazing. You can savor some wonderful drinks at Oga's Cantina, try the blue and green milk, build a Droid or light saber, buy a jedi robe and meet some of your favorite Star Wars characters. What is your Must Do when you travel? Our 2 must do stops everytime we travel to Florida is Tijuana Flats and of course Buc-ees!

We lived in South Florida for a couple years and Tijuana Flats is an amazing taco place with a hot sauce bar and delicious queso. So whenever we have one near, we must go.

Buc-ees is a staple and could be it's own theme park. The brisket sandwiches will have you salivating for more, Beaver nuggets are yummy and always have to finish it off with a frozen Dr. Pepper. If you haven't been yet I recommend giving yourself about an hour to wander around.
