Look at this girl THRIVING 😍 THANK YOU Dogwood Animal Rescue Project ❤️

This girl is such a love bug! Here she is getting belly rubs from foster dad! And isn’t that the cutest spotty belly ever?

Cora loves everybody! Cats, you bet! Dogs, bring ‘em on! People, the more the merrier!

Our darling girl had the works by Dr. Buxton and her team. She was spayed, foxtails cleaned out of both ears, neck wound cleaned up and it is healing nicely.

This girl was seen on the streets with her horrible wounds for some time but was too afraid to be caught. Once caught she’s as sweet as can be but there was nowhere to take her so she was going to be released back to the streets.

Enter Dogwood and a compassionate community of animal lovers and she’s safe with us now. This short sturdy girl looks like a pitty with maybe some English Bulldog in those broad shoulders and low-slung body. She’s 57 pounds and probably around 1-2 years old.

Cora’s horrible neck wounds are mostly consistent with an embedded collar. That’s when a collar or chain is put on a puppy and never checked or loosened as the dog grows. The collar gets tighter and tighter, growing into the flesh and causing injury and infection. She has areas of additional wounds on her neck and body that aren’t consistent with an embedded collar. She gets along well with the dogs and cats in our care, is great in the car and was even fabulous for her airplane ride to us.

Culvert Family Update 🐾

The 5 puppies were accepted by a local rescue for a puppy transfer program. They will all be fully vetted and find loving homes down south. 💕

Momma Molly will be spayed on March 4th. After that, we will get better photos and more information on her in order to promote her for adoption and/or rescue acceptance.

Thank you to everyone who has helped in one way or another, and thank you to their foster, Bonny, for everything she has done so far. 💗

He’s drinking formula and is too young to stay at our shelter at only 3 weeks of age! We need a foster home to help care for him till he’s old enough to adopt or a Rescue Group willing to take him.
