Oct 17, 2021 Aurora over Chez Benz Cabin at Harding Lake, Salcha, AK. The sky was a light glow with lines of aurora green. Through the camera the sky was completely different full of green.

Our Lady Aurora is still hanging on. Short blasts, but when it happens it illuminates the sky. Last night was supposed to be Meteor Showers. Captured a few shooting across the sky.

Harding Lake, Salcha, Alaska around 1:30 am. A short blast of Aurora illuminated the sky for a few minutes before blending into the night sky. Experts suggest April 24 may be an active night based on solar activity a few days back.

Appeared to be an uneventful evening for Aurora Viewing. The band above the house is weak. Setup the camera and see what transpires. An amazing meteor show and blasts of Aurora Borealis over 2 hours. Captured over 15 meteors and a some jets flying across the sky.

The motion sensor came on. Walked out to see a spectacular display of our Lady Aurora. The amazing display lasted for about 2 minutes, then went back to the vibrant greens.

There are 3 parking areas off Richardson Highway for visitors. The hike in winter is on land and frozen creek. Stay on the hardpacked path, snow on the side is soft. From the larger parking lot the walk to the cave is an easy 1.2 miles. The walk can be slippery so use caution. Once at the cave the floor is covered in ice, thus extreme caution is recommended. It is not a deep cave, but there is a section that does require you to squat if you want to go further. The glacier itself cannot be seen walking to the cave.
