Great things happing with our buddies over at Bankstown Bike and Ski

Hey Fairbanks, we have BIG NEWS!

Bankstown Bike and Ski is moving locations in November!

We'll be transitioning over to our new location in the Chena Pump Plaza at 360 Old Chena Pump Rd to better serve you and to be closer to trail access!

We will be doing some finish work on our new space next week and then complete our move HOPEFULLY by the 15th of November!

In the meantime, we plan to stay open normal hours at our current location at 1600 Well St until November 10th.

We have a bunch of new ski tuning equipment set up for this winter, so don't hesitate to stop by, check it out, and say Hi!

We will be rolling out a TON of new product when we open in our new space, including Atomic Skis, Atomic Bindings, a large selection of Revelate Designs Bags, Goodr Ski and Snowboard Goggles, Terrene Fatbike tires, and More!

Stay tuned for updates, and please pardon our chaos at our Well St location while we make this move happen!

Giving it a go at spearfishing for Whitefish under the northern lights. No fish tonight, but the view was wonderful. Winter is starting to settle in, and we are excited!

We are excited to announce our newest class, Intro to Salmon Smoking! This is a great two day how-to skills class that will teach you everything you need to know to smoke fish, and the best part is you get to keep the fish you smoke!

We've been a bit quiet on the ol' social media this summer because we've been having too much fun in the sun! (And sometimes rain) Summer in Alaska is always hectic but filled with loads of good memories and great adventures. We'll be announcing a few upcoming classes in the next week. January 23rd at 6PM EARAC will be at Bankstown Bike and Ski with a presentation about all the technology you can use to plan your trip: GAIA, Strava, OnX, USGS and more. Proper planning prevents...
Joining us on the 23rd will be artist Jamie Smith signing his original art created for EARAC. Stop by, learn something, share something, and connect with local mountain advocates.

February 13th at 6PM we will again be hosting US National Weather Service Fairbanks Alaska who will be educating us on the new NWS avalanche modeling tool and typical weather patterns we can look for this season. This event will be on Zoom and at UAF Schaible auditorium.

Finally...we are also planning for a rescue clinic the weekend of February 23rd. Stay tuned for details on this one.

We are excited to announce our second Burbot Set Line Class! This class will meet from 1pm to to 3pm on Feb 4th and 5th. Learn how to build set lines, find the best burbot habitat, and if we are lucky how to clean and prepare your catch. Go to www.arcticturn.org to sign up today!
Cost is $175 per person and includes instructor, bait, and all set line materials. Everyone gets to keep the sets they make.
