Owner and lead guide in Alaska, Mike Knoche, chose these locations based on his adven

tures travels as a solo traveler, interest as a wildlife biologist, and Alaskan resident. Mike has explored over 35 countries independently and discovered little known places along the way. As the years passed he realized that not all travelers would have time to find these hidden treasures and dreamed of starting this international guiding company. Mike studied birds, animal migration, and broader ecology as a wildlife biologist in Alaska, Mexico, and South America. His experience ignited his passion for getting you to the great wildlife areas for events such as viewing brown bears feeding on salmon and sea turtle hatch viewing at the right time. He is also an avid outdoors man and National Geographic guide in Alaska where he lives. Mike has surrounded himself with knowledgeable, passionate guides throughout ExDD’s destinations.

This post is my reflection on the Christmas day I spend with new found friends and family in Uganda... My friend Amina, in the black dress below, was our safety guide while rafting the Nile river 2 days before. She saw that I was traveling alone and asked where I would be on Christmas. A teenaged mountain gorilla from the Nkuringo troop, Uganda http://wp.me/p2qivy-D5

Here is the teenaged boy in front. You can see silver back in the background. For the rest of the lead up to this story, follow this.... Mmmm. that is some fresh nice stuff (it looks like) I have to include the picture of our guides and trackers in every photo. They work really hard for pennies.
