Looking for professional musher candidates.
Our sled dog tour experiences are provided by a collection of small to medium size racing teams. We work to have a pool of dogs large enough between kennels for the tours to be part time for the dogs. This ensures plenty of time for the dogs to rest and just be pets as well as quality training time for the dogs to be well prepared for the races they will run.
• Help us raise, train, care for, and race competitive mid distance teams.
• Promote our dogs, sled dog sports and the Alaskan lifestyle to hundreds of American and
international tourists.
• Hang out and race with many of the most well known mushers in sprint, mid and long distance
mushing.
• Explore interior Alaska on Northern Lights filled wilderness adventures with the dogs.
Located 40 minutes north of downtown Fairbanks above the 65th parallel, we are in a small community surrounded by Alaska interior wilderness. Live in an extreme environment usually averaging 0f to -20f with cold snaps at -30f to -40f that could last a week or longer.
It’s a great location with the best conditions in Fairbanks and trail access to the White Mountains. Last year we ran out of the yard on sleds from mid October to end of April.
Happy dogs win races and win the hearts of tourists. All of our dogs rotate being house dogs, loose all the time and sleeping inside. Help us achieve the goal that every dog gets at least 2 days/week as a house dog, usually 8-10 dogs per day.
Beginner to lead musher positions available.
3 positions available starting immediately and in August. Opportunities for seasonal as well as continuous employment.
$2000-$3000 per month starting salary, depending on experience. Quarterly performance bonuses and pay raises.
Housing options available.
Wilderness First Responder (WFR) training and certification potential.
