Dining on the beach every evening at Benguerra Island was surreal.

Each night, the dramatic sunsets painted the sky in hues I didn’t know existed, while the gentle rhythm of the waves created the most soothing soundtrack.

Every meal blended nature's breathtaking beauty with exquisite flavors. And as the night set in, millions of stars illuminated the sky.

It’s true what they say – some memories are best made barefoot in the sand. 🌊✨

Just returned from a bucket list trip in Southern Africa, and it was everything I’d dreamed of and more.

We began in Cape Town, South Africa, where we explored the vibrant city, took in the breathtaking coastline, and visited the most adorable penguins at Boulders Beach. Then it was off to the Cape Winelands to indulge in world-class wines and stay at a boutique hotel that quickly became a favorite.

Our next stop was pure magic: a safari at Sabi Sands private game reserve. Our lodge was a sanctuary, with views of elephants, giraffes, and more right from our room. Twice-daily game drives brought exhilarating close-ups, while the meals—served at the lodge and in the bush—were nothing short of perfection.

We capped it all off with a stay on a pristine island off Mozambique’s coast. Our beachfront suite featured a private pool and outdoor space, and our butler spoiled us with beachside meals and unforgettable sunset views.

Hispanic Heritage Month…

This month is a celebration of the vibrant cultures, deep traditions, and inspiring stories that shape the Hispanic community.

I arrived in the US at just 7 years old, and now barely remember the first part of my life as I quickly learned the language and assimilated into this new country.

Recently, I investigated my heritage and found I am 95% Spanish. This was no surprise as I knew my ancestors had migrated to Cuba from Spain, but it was so interesting to see the results.

I am a proud blend of my Cuban and Spanish roots, from loving our delicious foods, our family values, and our customs, to also being a proud American.

Blessed to be part of this incredible tapestry! 🇨🇺🇪🇸🇺🇸
