Flower City Ukulele Private Charter aboard Colonial Belle - The Erie Canal Song ⚓️🎶
Last night, 7/8 we had another FUN Private Charter for Flower City Ukulele!
Nearly all of the 84 passengers aboard played ukuleles while enjoying a 2-hour cruise down the Erie Canal aboard Colonial Belle! They also had great pizza from Perinton Pizza Emporium & drinks from the CB bar on a beautiful evening for their fun event. This group has done similar charters aboard for many years & it’s always a great time for everyone.

4th graders school field trip cruise aboard Colonial Belle
These 4th graders started their school field trip cruise in Lock E32 aboard Colonial Belle. Once they’ve “locked down” 25’ the lock gates are opened & they get their 1st view of the Erie Canal! They were so excited!
It’s like the curtains opening on a stage for an exciting show!
💦Here comes the water!!!💦
The Guard Gate is (partially) open near the U of R in Rochester. This is letting water from the Genesee River into that part of the Western section of the canal.
It typically takes 5-7 days for the canal to reach “normal pool” level.
🍁We pass through this section of the Erie Canal where this guard gate is located for our Fall Foliage cruises to Downtown Rochester in October.
💦Water is filling in Lyons near the dry dock too.
Colonial Belle and the other vessels/equipment in the Lyons Dry Dock are scheduled to float this week. 💦
It’s getting closer to cruising time!!! ⚓️😎
Colonial Belle’s 35th cruising season is scheduled from May 14th until October 27th 2024.
