Nestled 15 feet up in a grove of burly cedars and oaks, this treehouse includes a custom bar, daybed loft, bathroom, writing nook, board game lounge, screened-in porch, and a bouncy bridge to a satellite crow’s nest. Irregular cedar shingles, misshapen windows bordered by tree branches, and a copper-tipped turret add character to this arboreal cottage. When COVID hit last March, we pretty much shut down all operations at @treehousepoint while we regrouped with a safe plan to welcome back staff & guests. Coincidentally, after years of planning & engineering, we were finally issued our building permit for the Ananda treehouse at @treehousepoint and a small crew led by @henry__nelson was off to the races. We took advantage of the vacant property to make lots of noise & a huge mess to bring this ADA accessible treehouse to life. Our Story

Greetings treehouse friends!

Thank you for visiting our page! We are the Nelson family, comprised of me (Pete); my wife (of 30 years!), Judy; and our adult kids, Emily, Henry, and Charlie. We work together, along with our extraordinary staff, to bring the magic of treehouses to folks around the world.

I first fell in love with treehouses at age five when my dad built me an adventurous treefort behind the garage at our home in New Jersey. The world of treehouses, carpentry, and design continued to captivate me through college in Colorado where I met my wonderful wife, Judy.

Armed with an economics degree, Judy’s support, and my love of all things treehouse, I embarked on a unique, tree-centric career path in the Pacific Northwest post-graduation. For several years, I worked in construction of regular “ground houses” before taking to the trees to build imaginative and inspiring treehouses. With my design/build firm, Nelson Treehouse and Supply, I've now built hundreds of treehouses around the world.
