Our cover photo is of La Bicok EcoLodge in Mindo, Ecuador, a small piece of heaven! What is really cool is that the French family that runs this lovely get away built and run it themselves. Sebastian is an architect who designed, locally sourced and built this gorgeously simple and sophisticated series of cabins and open air pavilions with his own hands. He and his wife cook wonderful breakfasts and dinners, and know all the best guides and places to go in this incredibly biodiverse region. La Bicok now has 5 stars on Trip Advisor, and it deserves every one of them!
