For all my Frio River people…

We go to the Frio River every year. It’s sort of a family tradition. Every year we are disappointed in the water level, making it difficult to enjoy a lazy river float. This year, the Frio River in Concan has even less water than I’ve seen in the past 8 years. Right now, as I type this, it is discharging at 7.99 cfs. If you look at the live cams, THATS A LOT OF WALKING!!!

What if I told you that, for almost the same amount of drive time, you could actually float a river? A river less packed. A river that, in my opinion, yields beautiful views. A river that, as I type this, is discharging at 210 cfs.

21 years ago today, I married my travel partner. We have been on several adventures, especially recently. For as long as I have known him, he has dreamt of Montana. So today, on our anniversary, I am finally planning his 'trip of a lifetime'. We won't take the trip until 2022 because while we are there, I want to catch the Under the Big Sky Music Festival in Whitefish (a dream of mine).
