River Conditions Update: 11/4/2024 - 2:06 pm

⚠️ Due to flooding, the entire Current AND Jacks Fork Rivers (within park boundaries) are closed to non-motorized vessels at this time. We anticipate even more rain tonight.

⚠️ Alley Spring Campground has been evacuated due to flooding. It will remain closed until further notice.

Image: River closures are implemented to ensure safety of visitors and emergency personnel. When river levels are up, conditions can be extremely dangerous for non-motorized vessels. Dangers include swiftly flowing water, muddy conditions, and submerged hazards or gravel bars. These factors can be amplified by periods of drought, like those the park experienced. (NPS / Wil M.)
