Have you found that you have a hard time listening while in meetings?

Here are some tips:

Look at the speaker - This will help you know the tone in which they are delivering the message. It will also help you absorb more information.

Try not to judge - If you are thinking of objections on what the speaker is saying it will distract you from hearing their full message. This will help you to respond appropriately when the time comes to speak.

Here's a tip for your hearing aids this summer: If you need to take out your hearing aids, don't leave them in your car or in direct sunlight.

Excessive heat can actually damage and shorten the life of a hearing aid.

Did anyone see NBC Nightly News last night? There was a report on the alarming increase of those that are pre-diabetic and diabetic in the United States.

One issue the report didn't mention are those that are pre-diabetic and diabetic are at an increased risk for hearing loss.

At our clinic we perform yearly hearing screenings for diabetics so we can monitor and provide counsel if there is a decrease in their hearing.
