PSA FOR THE DAY….

PLEASE book flights a day or two before your cruise leaves. IF you HAVE to go same day I highly recommend booking flights through the cruise lines. You may still not make it, but it helps.

Lastly - TRAVEL INSURANCE PEOPLE … you may never ever need it. BUT - if you do…..

Lol… hey, no judgements here! Cruise how you want. We won’t tell anyone.

In the lead up to the 4 night cruise without the kids, we talked so much fu***ng smack. We carried on as if we were absolute party animals who just needed to be let loose.

She was touching my leg in the car and we were getting all excited.

“It’s gonna be wild… so many drinks”
“That nightclub bout to get owned”
“We gon party all night”
“We be canoodling in the spa”
“I’mma rock your world”

And basically all of that was a lie. We been in bed at a reasonable hour. We haven’t even found the nightclub yet. I think the craziest s**t that’s happened so far is pouring our own soft serve ice cream whilst saying “yall wild”. Yep… We are not the animals we think we are whilst talkin’ smack. I think we needed the rest.

I walked past a room in our hallway today. The door had 60th birthday streamers and an upside-down pineapple 🍍 on it that said “come party with The Big Whopper”.

That’s right folks. Even ole Big whopper out here going harder than us.

Last Thursday I was graciously given a group of bookings for a cruise. By Friday one of the sailors felt that they didn't need a travel agent, so they wanted to take all the bookings back.

By Monday, they decided to "let me have the commission" and gave them all back. For two nights now I have found nothing but problems with these bookings. Date of births are wrong, insurance purchases are wrong, some amenities have been dropped because of incomplete sailor information, some of them haven't even listed sailor #2 on their bookings.

My friends, it costs you NOTHING to use a travel agent. If some of these errors weren't caught, about 3 of these people wouldn't have been able to board the ship.

Use a travel agent people.... it's that simple :)

Happy Sunday morning!! A quick read on cruise travel tips!

In light of the recent issue where a lady couldn’t board a Carnival cruise because her room was canceled. Let this be a reminder to NOT post your travel details on social media. Her husband posted the reservation number, ship, sail date, and room number. Someone created an account and used this information to “take” her cruise and then a couple days before departure, the person(s) cancelled her trip without her knowledge. She’s lost $15,000.

Which brings me to my next topic. Travel insurance. Get travel insurance! But make sure it’s a good company and do your research. Cheaper is not always better and the insurance provided by the cruise line needs to be read over in depth.

Flights to ports for cruises should be at least 1 day before departure. No day of, never ever. Unless, you don’t mind missing a cruise due to flight delays. If that’s the case, then refer back to my travel insurance advice.
