🎉Places to take your children in NC🎉
Lazy 5 Ranch (15100 Mooresville Rd, Mooresville, NC 28115)
•A drive through experience where you get up close to zoo animals and get to feed them. This was a key memory of my childhood.
Safari Nation (3900 W Market St, Greensboro, NC)
•This children’s amusement center gives children a chance of burning off some energy. They have a jungle gym, zipline, toddler playground, bumper cars, blow up houses and more.
The Great Wolf Lodge (10175 Weddington Rd, Concord, NC 28027)
•This place is a must for children. It’s a lodge with an indoor water park, shops, places to eat, and kids activities such as character appearances and story times. There are day passes or you can stay inside for multiple days! The rooms are also designed like cabins.
Tweetsie Railroad (300 Tweetsie Railroad Ln, Blowing Rock, NC 28605)
•This place has a fun 3 mile train ride, amusement park rides, and certain shows such as magic or music.
Sky Zone Trampoline Park (7325 Smith Corners Blvd, Charlotte, NC 28269)
•This is a trampoline park with so many fun activities.
Foggy Mountain Gem Mine (4416 NC-105, Boone, NC 28607)
•You get to pan for buckets full of gems! This is so fun for kids because they get to sit for treasures.
Greensboro Science Center (4301 Lawndale Dr, Greensboro, NC 27455)
•The Greensboro Science Center is an aquarium, museum, zoo, and treetop adventure park. They have a plethora of activities such as a butterfly house, carousel, penguin encounters, and others!
No Taste Like Home Wild Food Tours (Directions are sent out after you book your tour but it is in Asheville)
•This experience is one of a kind for sure. You get to forage for your own food such as berries, mushrooms, acorns and more. Then you get to enjoy a cooking demo, tasting, and the option to have your finds prepared at one of Asheville’s top restaurants.
Asheville Pinball Museum (1 Battle Square Ste 1b, Asheville, NC 28801)
•This is an arcade with over 75 pinball machines, arcade games, and beer for the parents!
Galaxy Fun Park (14460 Falls of Neuse Rd, Raleigh, NC 27614)
•This fun park is the perfect place for kids play. They have go karts, bounce houses, mini golf, laser tag, rope course, spin zone and other soft play areas for the younger ones. There is a lounge area with beer and wine for parents.
Carowinds (300 Carowinds Blvd, Charlotte, NC 28273)
•Everyone knows about this option, but I would be silly not to include it. They have plenty of kid-friendly rides to make your child’s day.
Christmas Town USA (McAdenville, NC)
•Starting December 1st, this town absolutely lights up with Christmas lights everywhere! Walking through the town is so fun. They even have a candy factory and bonfires.
North Carolina Aquarium at Pine Knoll Shores (1 Roosevelt Blvd, Pine Knoll Shores, NC 28512)
•This is considered NC’s biggest aquarium. They have thousands of aquatic animals to see. This might take you all day!
Dish it Out Pottery (7828 Rea Rd C, Charlotte, NC 28277)
•You can stop in to paint canvases or pieces of pottery! They get to show their artistic side.
Sassafras All Children's Playground (3808 Edwards Mill Rd, Raleigh, NC 27612)
•This playground is rated almost 5 stars because of how fun it is! There is every type of playground contraption you could think of. Let them get energy out for hours!
Jump N Fun (699 Sunshine Way, Greensboro, NC 27409)
•Absolutely full of just bounce houses for kids to jump in and play games in.
