😳 luckily we missed this by a week!
I’ve always had people tell me they are scared to cruise because of sea sickness and they don’t want to feel the boat move!
Things like this are pretty rare in the Caribbean/Gulf and a lot of the time, captains can avoid it by sailing around. Unfortunately when you can’t avoid it, just make sure you are prepared! Sea sickness ear patches were a life saver when we hit rough seas on the Carnival Dream in the Bahamas last year. And of course, the bigger the ship, the less you feel it rocking!
Also know the crew is doing everything they can to ensure everyone’s safety. They do things like tie up furniture, close outside decks and even put barf bags throughout the ship… just in case 😅
I’m anxiously awaiting to see the videos guests currently on board take to start circulating on social media to show what it looks like!
The Carnival Valor is going through 10-15' seas over the Gulf this morning. A few people said it's rocking pretty good down there. Tonight and Saturday is when the worst seas will develop with wave heights up to 20' - the Carnival Glory and Norwegian Breakaway will sail into that tonight as they leave Cozumel and head for NOLA.
